To Ann: I think Montgomery County has an excellent Autism Program and I have family members who are OTs and special ed teachers in Mont. and I am impressed with what I have heard about their services. If it is working for your son now, I would not change a thing and move to a different County.

I am happy and thrilled to find a "local" site and community that provides valuable and useful information regarding the many degrees of this particular dissorder. I have researched till my hands are numb and sometimes feel lost with all the "misinformation" that is present on the web. I am looking forward to meeting and connecting with others who have similar experiences raising their children and looking for suggestions and advice on how to cope with the day to day living of a child on the Spectrum.

I am thinking of moving to Loundon County and I am looking for information of services offered for Autism and PDD-NOS in the Loundon County Public School System. I currently live in Montomery County and my son is receiving excellent services at a public school fully special ed elementary school learning center. His current class is only 7 children, with one full time teacher and 2 para-educators in the room at all times. His IEP dictates he needs this level of service. Thank you for any information.
