MEETING HIGHLIGHTS FOR NOVEMBER
Kristin Palen, OTR/L and Director of Occupational Therapy at Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing will discuss the different aspects of sensory processing and sensory motor skills including vestibular (balance), proprioceptive (body awareness, motor planning), tactile (touch), auditory and oral sensory processing and warning signs when there could be sensory processing delays.
Occupational Therapy with a sensory integration approach will then be discussed to demonstrate how sensory processing deficits can be addressed.
